B8RE have successfully concluded four recent lettings at Zone 2 on Deeside Industrial Estate, including a deal with national occupier DPD to take 26,300 sq ft.
The DPD letting is the largest of the four and will see the company take a 10-year lease at £5.25 per sq ft. Elsewhere, there have been two further new lettings and a lease renewal to an existing occupier for 5 years.
B8 acquired the estate for an institutional client in 2016 and these recent transactions take the overall total take-up to over 130,000 sq ft since then. Demand has been strong across all size ranges on the site with deals done from 2,000 to 26,000 sq ft.
Following on from the recent success outlined above, two prominent new-build distribution warehouses totalling 103,000 sq ft secured planning consent at the site, while a £500,000 phase of comprehensive refurbishment has also recently completed.
The 105-acre Zone 2 sits off the A550, two miles from the end of the M56, and will provide up to 850,000 sq ft of industrial, employment, and warehouse space.
Anthony Mellor of B8RE commented “demand remains robust at Deeside despite the ongoing political uncertainty as demonstrated by the recent occupier activity. The high-quality refurbishment undertaken has attracted strong tenant interest and the estate has seen an increased rental tone across a range of sizes. Deeside continues to attract a wide range of local, regional and national occupiers”.
